This cottage in Oxfordshire, close to the Cotswolds, is being refurbished and developed into a comfortable, nature-loving home. The host is looking for practical and creative people who would enjoy helping to maintain and improve the cottage while experiencing a peaceful rural setting. In exchange, helpers receive food, the chance to gain design experience and the opportunity to share skills and ideas.

Tasks & Roles

The type of help will depend on each person’s experience, confidence, skills and interests. Support may include maintaining and tidying the cottage, helping with ongoing improvements and contributing ideas for its development. The host has a background in photography and design and is happy to share this knowledge, while helpers with their own skills and interests are encouraged to contribute.

Living & Getting There

Two double bedrooms are available for helpers. The cottage is located near Milcombe in Oxfordshire. The closest airport is Birmingham Airport (BHX), while the nearest train station is Banbury. From Banbury, there is an hourly direct bus service to Milcombe.

What else

The setting is suited to people who enjoy nature, peaceful surroundings and a hands-on approach to everyday life. The host also has a dog named Xena, so helpers should be comfortable around dogs.
