Established in 1995, this hostel offers travellers a friendly home away from home in Prague. It is based in the Žižkov neighbourhood, just three tram stops from Václavské náměstí, with a wide choice of bars, beer gardens, cafés and restaurants nearby.
The hostel has a small international team and aims to create a welcoming, lively environment for guests. Staff are happy to share local knowledge and recommendations, helping visitors discover Prague beyond the usual tourist spots.
Tasks & Roles
The main role is to help maintain a calm and respectful atmosphere during the night. The volunteer will gently remind guests about quiet hours when necessary and keep an eye on the shared areas throughout the night.
They will also be a friendly and approachable presence for guests arriving late, helping them feel welcome while ensuring that other guests can enjoy a peaceful night. The role suits someone who is reliable and comfortable being awake at night.
The ideal volunteer is friendly, patient and respectful when dealing with people. They should be able to stay calm in different situations, use good judgement and help resolve minor issues in a positive way. A natural ability to keep the peace and maintain a pleasant atmosphere is important.
Living & Getting There
Living arrangements will be discussed with applicants during the application process.
The closest airport is Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG). Details of the best way to reach the hostel will also be provided and discussed with the successful applicant.
What else
The hostel provides an opportunity to experience Prague while becoming part of a small international team. Its location in Žižkov makes it easy to reach the city centre by tram, while the surrounding area offers plenty of places to eat, drink and socialise.
The role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys meeting travellers from different backgrounds and is happy to work at night while helping create a relaxed and welcoming environment for everyone.
