Małgorzata coordinates English language immersion programmes in Poland and welcomes native English speakers to help Polish participants develop their conversational skills. The courses are designed for Polish professionals and young people who want to improve their English through everyday conversation and interactive activities.
Volunteers do not need teaching experience, as there are no formal lessons. Instead, they help participants practise speaking English in a relaxed and friendly environment. The programme offers a valuable cultural exchange and the chance to experience life in the Polish countryside.
Tasks & Roles
Volunteers spend most of the day chatting with Polish participants in English, discussing suggested topics and taking part in group activities, games and other conversation-based exercises. Their role is to encourage participants to speak confidently and practise their language skills naturally.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, speak English at native level and be friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic. An open mind, a respectful attitude and a willingness to learn are also important. Both male and female volunteers are welcome, and individuals, friends and couples can apply.
Living & Getting There
Each programme lasts five days and takes place at a countryside hotel near a lake, within reach of Poznań and Warsaw. Volunteers receive free accommodation, usually in a single room, although sharing with someone of the same gender may sometimes be necessary. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the stay.
Three full meals are provided daily and prepared by the hotel’s kitchen team, which can cater for special dietary requirements. Free return transport from Poznań and transfers from the local city to the venue are also included.
The nearest major airport is Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW). Volunteers should arrange their travel to Poland and confirm the transfer details with the programme organisers before arrival.
What else
The countryside setting offers a peaceful place to relax between activities, with a nearby lake and scenic surroundings ideal for walks. Volunteers can enjoy a cultural exchange while gaining experience supporting English language learners. A reference can also be provided by the organisers following the programme.
Applications are open for next year’s courses. For programmes aimed at young people preparing for their Matura exams, volunteers aged 18–30 are preferred, although the general minimum age requirement is 18.
