Zita, a gardener with a strong connection to nature and a passion for meaningful human interaction, welcomes participants to a small, intentional community in Spain. This close-knit group lives together as a family, embracing conscious living, personal growth, and mutual learning. With diverse backgrounds in yoga, psychology, martial arts, gardening, creativity, and community work, members enjoy sharing knowledge while learning from newcomers. This opportunity is a genuine community and gardening exchange, inviting participants to join daily life, contribute their skills, and engage in cultural and personal exchange.
Community and Gardening Exchange: Tasks & Roles
Daily life in the community centres on shared responsibilities rather than formal work. Participants naturally engage in gardening, cooking, animal care, creative projects, yoga, meditation, and meaningful conversations. Seasonal gardening tasks may include planting, harvesting, bed preparation, or small land maintenance projects. Animal care involves nine dogs and six cats, including feeding, walking, cleaning, and providing attention to ensure their wellbeing. Around the home, participants assist with cleaning, organising spaces, small DIY projects, or contribute to creative and educational initiatives such as writing or developing psychology materials. All tasks are part of living together and learning from one another, making this a true community and gardening exchange.
Community and Gardening Exchange: Living & Getting There
The community maintains a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle, with no smoking, alcohol, drugs, or violence allowed, ensuring a harmonious environment. Respect, honesty, and warmth are core values, and participants are encouraged to communicate openly, take initiative, and collaborate. Accommodation is provided in single or double rooms, each with beds, cupboards, lighting, and a fan, with a nearby bathroom. The nearest airports are Alicante (ALC) and Murcia (RMU), with onward bus connections to the local town. Pets are welcome if they are calm and accustomed to other dogs and cats.
Community and Gardening Exchange: What Else
This experience is ideal for those seeking personal growth, meaningful human connection, and immersion in an intentional community. Participants explore gardening, animal care, yoga, meditation, philosophy, martial arts, creativity, and conscious communication while sharing their own culture and skills. The community values curiosity, sincerity, and active participation, offering a space where everyone contributes to daily life while learning and forming deep connections. Joining this community and gardening exchange provides a supportive, purpose-driven environment where participants leave with both new knowledge and a sense of belonging.
