We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to volunteer at a wellness centre in Ireland, where no two days are ever the same. Our vibrant glamping site and wellness centre offer a variety of tasks, from wood chopping and willow weaving to painting and preparing art classes. Whether you’re helping with mural painting or setting up music events, you’ll always find something exciting to do while embracing the beauty of Ireland’s natural landscape.
Volunteer at a Wellness Centre in Ireland: Tasks & Roles
The work on the site can vary depending on the season and weather conditions, but it’s always engaging and diverse. From tasks such as wood chopping, willow weaving, hedge cutting, and weeding, to more creative roles like mural painting, setting up music events, preparing art classes, and even planning kids’ birthday parties, there’s something for everyone. Tasks will be tailored to your interests and skillset, and we’ll always ensure you have the necessary tools and equipment. Your workday will run from 10am to 4pm, with a break at 1pm for lunch. Typically, the working week spans from Wednesday to Sunday, five days a week.
Volunteer at a Wellness Centre in Ireland: Living & Getting There
Accommodation is provided in a spacious, heated dormitory located next to our house, shared with fellow volunteers. The room is split-level, offering privacy with a double bed at the top for couples, and two single beds downstairs. You’ll also have access to a separate bathroom, a comfortable lounge area with a DVD player, and plenty of DVDs, books, and art supplies to enjoy during your downtime. On your days off, you’re free to explore the area at your leisure. We can offer lifts into town for bars, shops, and transport connections, or you’re welcome to use one of our bicycles. If you’re interested in visiting larger cities like Sligo or Galway, we’re happy to take you to the nearest train and bus stations. The nearest airport is Knock International, but it’s often more affordable to fly into Dublin and travel by bus to Ballaghaderreen, where we’ll pick you up.
Volunteer at a Wellness Centre in Ireland: What Else
There’s always something to do around here. On your time off, you can join us for gigs and events we attend, or take the opportunity to relax and explore the picturesque area. For those with an artistic flair, there are endless scenic views perfect for sketching or painting. With nearby walking trails and fishing spots, you’ll have plenty to do when not working. We believe in keeping things light-hearted and fun, with a sense of community at the heart of everything we do. If you’re someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit team, and loves the great outdoors, Willowbrook could be the perfect place for you.
