Join us and volunteer at a hostel in Montenegro, where you’ll experience the beauty of Kotor while becoming part of a lively, social atmosphere. We aim to create a welcoming environment for travellers from around the world, and our dedicated volunteers are essential in keeping everything running smoothly. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, help others, and immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Montenegro.
Volunteer at a Hostel in Montenegro: Tasks & Roles
As a volunteer, you’ll have the chance to support the team in a variety of tasks, including assisting with housekeeping to ensure our hostel remains welcoming and tidy. You’ll help rent out stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) and kayaks, sharing your knowledge and ensuring guests are informed about safety guidelines. There will also be opportunities to get involved in cooking and preparing for BBQs, as well as planning and hosting exciting events like drinking games and pub crawls. Additionally, you may help with managing our social media and handling reception duties, welcoming guests and answering their queries. No two days are the same, and your efforts will directly contribute to the social and friendly atmosphere we pride ourselves on.
Volunteer at a Hostel in Montenegro: Living & Getting There
Volunteers stay in a shared dormitory with its own private bathroom, providing a comfortable and communal living space. Our hostel is equipped with two kitchens, so you’ll have access to prepare meals alongside fellow volunteers and guests. We’re located just 15 minutes from the Kotor bus station, and there are two airports in Montenegro—Podgorica, which is about a 2-hour bus ride away, and Tivat, which is just 20 minutes by bus. We can arrange pick-ups from the bus station or the airports, just let us know your arrival details in advance to ensure a smooth journey.
Volunteer at a Hostel in Montenegro: What Else
Our summer season runs from April through October, and we’re looking for five enthusiastic volunteers to join our team. You’ll have the chance to explore Kotor and the surrounding areas during your free time. We offer free accommodation and access to all hostel activities, including BBQs, drinking games, and pub crawls. You’ll also be able to use the SUPs and kayaks to explore Boka Bay. As we value teamwork, we’ll share food costs and enjoy cooking together as a group. While the hours are flexible, you’ll typically work around 30 hours per week, with some days being quieter than others. Above all, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, meet new people, and have fun!
We can’t wait to hear from you—reach out if you’re interested in joining us for an unforgettable experience in Montenegro!
