Hello! My name is Sólveig, and together with my one-year-old son, Víkingur, and our dog Billie, we live in Denmark, where we’re creating a unique glamping retreat. Nestled by a peaceful lake and surrounded by nature, we’re looking for enthusiastic glamping volunteer Denmark who are passionate about outdoor living, DIY projects, and helping to build a welcoming space for our guests. If you love working with your hands and being in nature, we’d love for you to join us!
Glamping Volunteer Denmark: Tasks & Roles
You’ll have the chance to assist with a variety of tasks that help keep our glamping site running smoothly. These include maintaining the site by mowing the grass, raking leaves, and tidying up shared spaces to ensure guests feel comfortable. You may also help with minor repairs and general upkeep.
For those with an interest in building, we have several DIY projects in mind, such as setting up tents, constructing outdoor seating, or making creative additions to the site. You could also assist with preparing the tents for incoming guests by cleaning and checking for any repairs that might be needed. Cooking and sharing meals is another area where we’d appreciate your help—whether that’s meal prep, assisting in the kitchen, or simply sharing a meal together.
There are also outdoor tasks, such as cutting trees, stacking firewood, and general upkeep of our natural surroundings. As a bonus, you may be asked to help look after Víkingur for short periods, providing a fun and engaging environment for him. Finally, if you’re interested, we’re starting a vegetable garden, and your help with planting, weeding, and maintaining the garden would be most welcome.
Glamping Volunteer Denmark: Living & Getting There
We offer a private room in our home, which is cozy and comfortable. Meals are provided, with a focus on home-cooked dishes, and you’ll have access to shared areas such as the kitchen, bathroom, and living room. There’s also plenty of free time to enjoy the lake, take walks in nature, or simply relax in the peaceful surroundings. Our dog Billie, along with other animals, will keep you company during your stay.
To make your arrival easy, we’ll assist you in getting as close as possible to our location, and I’ll personally pick you up from there. The nearest major airport is Copenhagen Airport (CPH), from where we can arrange transport.
Glamping Volunteer Denmark: What Else
Our retreat is designed to be a welcoming space for those who enjoy being part of a community. We appreciate individuals who are independent, proactive, and have a positive attitude. We aim to create an atmosphere where everyone can contribute to building something meaningful and relaxing. We do ask that you respect the peaceful environment by adhering to quiet hours after 10 p.m., keeping shared spaces tidy, and treating the property with care.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a tranquil retreat while enjoying the beauty of nature and contributing to a sustainable, hands-on project. If you’re interested, please reach out—we’re excited to meet new people who share our passion for outdoor living and creativity!
