We have recently acquired an old farm in Norway with the vision of transforming it into a beautiful and sustainable tourist destination, focused on eco-friendly solutions and locally sourced food. If you’re looking to volunteer on a farm in Norway, this is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in a hands-on project while experiencing the country’s stunning natural beauty. The project is still in its early phases, and the farm buildings require significant restoration and care. This is where your help is invaluable!
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers, particularly those with carpentry skills or a knack for hands-on work, to assist in bringing this dream to life. Whether it involves restoring historic structures, working on creative building projects, or helping with general farm tasks, your contributions will be essential in shaping the future of this place. At present, two dedicated volunteers are already on-site, and we are eager to welcome more passionate individuals to the team.
Volunteer on a Farm in Norway: Tasks & Roles
There are various ongoing projects that require support, from major renovations to smaller construction tasks. Current work includes dismantling and rebuilding walls and floors, renovating different rooms, installing new windows and doors, and constructing a chicken coop. Other general maintenance and creative construction projects are also underway, making this an exciting and dynamic environment for anyone eager to contribute their skills.
For those with relevant experience, we offer an hourly rate for specific tasks, making this an opportunity to not only gain hands-on experience but also earn some extra money to support your travels.
Volunteer on a Farm in Norway: Living & Getting There
Volunteers are provided with comfortable accommodation on the farm, and at the moment, everyone has their own private room. While meals are not included, all food expenses are covered, ensuring you have everything you need. The nearest airports are Bergen Airport (BGO) and Oslo Airport (OSL), with Flåm easily accessible by boat, train, or bus. We also offer access to a car, as well as bikes, kayaks, and camping gear, allowing volunteers to explore the stunning Norwegian landscape during their free time.
Volunteer on a Farm in Norway: What Else?
