  • Profile description
  • Hi, I'm Madeline. I'm a 21yr old from Canada who will be backpacking around South America for around 6 months. I'm interested in doing a couple of workaways during my travels to meet new people and connect locally with like-minded individuals! A little about me...I'm a third-year university student studying combined political science and philosophy, I also work as the Front Desk supervisor at a beach hostel during the summers! I love theatre and music (I can act but am an absolutely terrible singer) and I love the outdoors, animals of any and every kind, although dogs are a favorite of mine, and of course traveling is one of my biggest passions. I grew up in a pretty small town on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada where I was surrounded by forest and ocean but not much else. I'm really looking forward to my workaway experiences, its a chance for me to see the world as well as meet new people, develop new skills and live differently to how I do at home!

  • Account type: individual
  • Nationality:Canadian
  • Age:21
  • Skills: I'm a pretty good cook, I grew up doing most of the cooking for me and my mom from around age 13, and now that I live on my own, cooking continues to be one of my passions. I've grown up around animals all my life so animal care is something I'm good at and that I enjoy. I can speak French fluently and would be more than willing to teach the basics or more to anyone interested; growing up in Canada, English is my first language and I'd be thrilled to share that as well! My father is a carpenter and while I'm not great at building things, I have spent a lot of my time cleaning up workspaces and ensuring his homes are ready for clients, making sure things are tidy has become one of my skills. Really, I can pick up on anything pretty quickly and even if, in the beginning, I have no idea what I'm doing, I'm sure any kind of work would be something that I could learn to do!
