  • Profile description
  • I think one of the hardest things to do, is to write about yourself, and sum up all of who you are in a few words. But I guess if I really tried, if I looked deep down into my soul, all the parts of me stem from one driving force, which is this- Every morning, I wanna wake up and know that whatever I'm doing in my life makes a difference, and contributes to making the world a better place, or sometimes just one person's world. So, I build my life, my character and the people in it, around that. At the moment my job is ticking that box, I'm a teacher, supporting children with learning difficulties through their education. In the past it has been the numerous charity and voluntary works I've been involved with overseas while travelling, both of which I'm fiercely passionate about. The unfamiliar cultures, the scarcely visited lands, the local's stories, and their welcoming acceptance of you into their life- if only for a brief moment- is a touching and humbling experience that changes you as a person, every time, and it's an experience I never get tired of. I feel it's very important for us as individuals, and as human beings to be regularly changing, and always searching for more: more experiences; more encounters; more of ourselves and others. I'm happiest during those times of growth and adventure, and when I have a camera in my hand, my nose inside a book, my ears attached to a song, a pen in my hand, or of course the company of other like-minded people.
  • Profile details
  • Account type: individual
  • Nationality:English
  • Age:28
  • Skills: I'm naturally adventurous, curious and hungry, so throughout my life, I have done many jobs, volunteered in many places and visited countless countries. Through these experiences, I have learned many skills and gained a lot of knowledge, I'll do my best to describe them now:

    - I'm a teacher/support worker. Have a lot of experience with children and adults in this field, including many that are considered vulnerable (homeless, orphaned, abused, mental, physical and learning difficulties).
    - I'm creative. Experience in writing, photography, painting, crafts, sewing, etc.
    - I have some experience in construction and interior design. My dad is a builder and my mother is a painter and decorator- the skills they taught me have come in handy when rebuilding communities from scratch while volunteering for disaster relief organisations.
    - I have experience in customer service. Food and drink establishments (including the preparation of both), shops, and entertainment venues.
    - I have experience running youth groups, and doing au pair work.
    - I have experience in management, marketing, recruitment.

In general, I am a very personable, fun-loving, and positive person. And although I've been fortunate to experience and learn a lot, there is still a great deal that I don't know, but I love to learn, in fact, I live for it and that Is why I'm always immersing myself in newness. I'm a fast learner, a perfectionist and an all or nothing kinda gal, so I put 110% into whatever I've set my mind to.
