Camping Granja Ecológica Veilchental

Location: Argentina, Córdoba, Calamuchita

Nice campsite in the central Sierras of Córdoba. Surrounded by high biodiversity forest, a small stream that crosses the place, next to open spaces makes the camping Granja Ecológica Veilchental the ideal place to relax in contact with the typical nature of the Sierras Cordobesas. We usually have lunch or dinner at least once with each group of volunteers. However we can not offer you the daily food, of which they must take care of themselves. Unless they are of our production, in which case we gladly share. It is a question of schedules and eating habits typical of each traveler among other reasons. To make purchases you can use public transport (Frequency every 2 hours from Monday to Monday) to visit the nearest town of Villa General Begrano and buy their groceries in the superm... Read more

Organic Farm Host

Location: United States, Washington, Skagit County, Concrete

We are longtime WWOOF and HelpX hosts with many reviews. We host folks usually from February through November, and need help with a variety of farm tasks. We are a community project devoted to conservation, educational and social outreach (egalitarian, not religious). The farm is located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Of our 105 acres, about 15 acres is “developed”. The remaining acreage is 2nd growth forest, or replant. We have a very lovely wood, with some of the largest trees in the area. The farm also consists of about 1/4 mile of creek frontage as well as acreage on the opposite side of the creek. The front 65 acres was once home to a blueberry farm, and we have nearly an acre of 90+ year old blueberry bushes (trees!). We have a fruit orchard, a sauna, ducks, an ol... Read more

In late 2011 crystallized the idea of creating something different that not only offer a service of conservation and wildlife rehabilitation, but to work in coordination with the indigenous communities of the area, since they are the bearers of an ancient wisdom that remain untainted with the technology, consumerism and materialism of Western Society, having achieved to coexist with the environment, progress and realize the par excellence universal utopia: happiness.

sunrise farm

Location: Greece

We are a family of four, Zeta, Mike, Yannis (12 years) and Athina (9 years), who live in the mountains in the Peloponnese region of Greece. Our small village, Bozika, has a population of less than 150 people, and is located 30 minutes from Kiato, . We live our lives simply, as close as possible to the natural world, and we appreciate the richness that nature brings to our lives. Our family enjoys cooking and sharing traditional dishes from the Greek culture, and for the past 9 years we have been operating a small tavern/restaurant next to our house. In the restaurant, we serve food that we grow on our farm, including fruit, vegetables, pork, chicken, rabbit, turkey, cheese, honey and products we make from our olives!
