  • Marker details
  • DescriptionEstablished in 2011 by Masika Calvin, a nurse by profession and raised by a single mother. WAHF fulfills a need for continuous and meaningful education without limitation of finances and gender that hinders so many in the Rwenzori region. A School has been established now eight months old and currently educating 163 children from nursery to primary four. The school has 13 qualified teachers and the large portion of the school’s student’s population receives free or reduced tuition. With School and other community transforming projects, the organization has grown tremendously, increasing enrollment, reaching new populations, and offering expanded services. It now provides community based positive parents and relationships building between the adolescents and their parents using the stepping stone and SINOVUYO model, bettering the lives of hundreds each year.
