  • Hours per day As we don't provide meals, we only ask for 4 hour work per day (generally 10am - 2pm) , 5 days a week, usually including Thursday, Friday and Sunday. The 2 days off have to be planned with us, regarding the schedule of the week.

  • Accommodation: You will stay in our 14' travel trailer within the 1/2 acre garden. This trailer is equipped with fold out bed, electricity, electric heater.. It is 75' away from the main house, and has uninterrupted views of the garden. The "Work and Stay" traveller also gets use of the main backpacker accommodation, including free wireless internet, free loaner bikes, shared kitchen, shared bathrooms, common areas. During the winter months of November to February, the volunteer will be asked to take a bed in the Arbutus dorm room, potentially sharing with paying customers.
