  • DescriptionRusinga Island Fruit Farm is situated next to Rusinga Island Lodge and Airstrip next to Lake Victoria. The farm has got a varieties of fruits such as Bananas, mangoes, Coconut, Passion Fruit, Oranges, Lemon, Avocados and Pawpaw. The farm also host a number of trees hence we practice Agro forestry. The project has conducted Tree planting within the nearby school.

    The fruits are being sold to support the needy children in schools paying their fees as well as basic needs. Volunteers are needed to help in
    1.Planting of Fruits and other Trees
    2. Maintaining the trees and other vegetables
    3. Watering the fruits
    4.Weeding
    4. Maintaining agro forestry
    5. Helping with General work within the home eg. looking after the cows and goats, cooking or any other work
