We shall be outside most of the time in all weathers. (With drinks/toilet/lunch breaks sometimes cooking on an open fire beside the lake) It’s essential to have full waterproofs and decent gloves and steel toe capped/puncture resistant sole boots. A rechargeable head torch is sensible.

This is a manual run place (we breed and train rare Clydesdale horses) wheelbarrows are often used to move materials on reasonable level ground so people need to have good levels of stamina and undertake tasks within a reasonable time. Various hand tools are also used and we explain safe operation/maintenance to avoid accidents.

All interested persons will need to confirm the reasons to visit here, the skills wanting to learn, the contribution that can be given and have a good information profile with a current picture we can read/view to avoid possible misunderstandings and to respond to messages ASAP so we can plan schedules and booking additional Traveller’s.

Open to hosting two people at a time from around the world and we are political/Religious NEUTRAL! Please make sure you have decent travel insurance (incase of sickness/accident) to cover the period at the Host’s place.

All people will need to help with simple sustainable Hot/Cold meals and cleaning the accommodation, washing up and recycling chores. We might be able to host those with special Vegan/Halal diets.
