  • DescriptionOur mother/daughter owned business is a HOSTEL which is listed for one-night or more stays by guests. Eventually, a Restaurant and Bar is planned. This is a family-owned business, a mother-daughter adventure!
The weather is beautiful, and the culture is interesting.

We are currently renovating the lower level to open a restaurant/ bar with live music, as well as still making touch-ups and repairs to the hostel, which is OPEN. We want the Hostel to be a happy and enjoyable experience for all our guests, as it has been for us, and YOU!
Recently we bought this old historic building and we have been renovating it, so we would be needing anyone with skills in reconstruction, working with concrete, woodwork, iron, painting and anything else related to renovating an old building.

We need helpers to help with various necessities, co-hosting, publicity and marketing, security system set-up, computer technology, and sometimes we need an extremely responsible co-host to assist with greeting guests and other hostel necessities, we also would welcome someone able to help with pet care and training, and teaching us more Spanish.
We are very open to anyone with any skills that will be helpful even if not listed, LET US KNOW WHAT YOU CAN PROVIDE.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Puerto Rico is a unique culture, a territory of the US but far different from the continental US culture.
The only ice-skating rink in the Caribbean is located a short distance away. It is a beautiful island with many activities available.

Tourists are impressed with the vicinity being close to several available activities. A great opportunity to learn surfing from the locals or go diving or snorkeling, hiking, beach combing, bicycling, fishing, etc..

There is a skate park, and waterpark. The Aguadilla Mall and movie theatre is less than 5 minutes away.

Surfing, scuba diving, and snorkeling are some of the main attractions in this area.
Also, there are restaurants, and bars and hangouts, all in walking distance.

We need Helpers to help renovations, cleaning, odd jobs and sometimes we need an assistant host to help us with greeting guests, and speaking with them on the phone in Spanish, at the hostel especially if they are bilingual.

We also need helpers in masonry, electric, plumbing, building, floors, painting, and all aspects of upstarting a restaurant and bar.
Eventually, we will add 4 rooms, two bottom and two on top with an outside bar, and hopefully a spa, all on the roof.

We have another space next door and we are considering opening a dispensary, dependent on several challenges, so if this happens to be your forté, we need advice, if and how to start. This, however, is not our priority.

This is a running hostel with 9 rooms, 2 unfinished, a large room with a common kitchen, common bathroom and a common living area. Helpers will stay in one of the rooms and will share with other Helpers if necessary. Or downstairs where the restaurant will be when necessary

Meals that are prepared will be shared, this is dependant upon someone cooking. Food will be provided for the Helpers to prepare, for one shared meal, per day. Staples such as rice, pasta, and potatoes will be available for preparation by Workawayers. We would be happy to have someone that likes to cook; we do not,
(we eat a lot of pizza and pastries :).
