La SOURCE Center for Research & Creation

  • Marker details
  • DescriptionLa SOURCE Center for Research & Creation is the first international and interdisciplinary Love-Studies research center. We welcome researchers from all disciplines, creators working in every expressive medium, and also those searching for a quiet, peaceful, support place during times of crisis (which we call inner-connective researchers, or 'seekers').
We are located on an old flax and linen farm in Brittany, France, between Les Monts d'Arrée and the sea.

This is a new project. We arrive on-site in February, 2021.
We are gathering a "Build-Up" team of volunteers for this development phase. Projects are diverse, and include: building of a summer/outdoor kitchen with a cob pizza oven... building geodesic dome-homes... building phyto-purification greywater systems... transforming horse stables into artist studios... helping with the arrival/install of our wellness center (sauna, jacuzzi, massage treatment room, etc.) ...creating walking paths... shaping an amphitheater... constructing our transparent meditation dome ... installing our plein-air botanical fire-bath...etc.

As a community and project centered around love, we plan to work hard and play hard. Connection, fun, music, fire circles, game nights, beach picnics, wild swimming and forest hikes are all part of the picture here.

We are a bilingual project (English and French). We have a big focus on sustainability and ecological harmony (without sacrificing comfort, style, and enjoyment). The area is remarkably beautiful and wild. We have ocean and lake swimming nearby. Several small cities and many beautiful villages to explore. We are quite an internationally influenced group who have traveled the world and engaged in many forms of inner and outer seeking... jungian archetypal analysis, taoism, the red path (and earth-traditions or 'shamanism'), zen meditation, body-friendly wellness, poetry, art, music, great and healthy food.... we are deeply engaged in seeing and understanding ourselves, in creative expression and also enjoyment of this miraculous gift of life.

We will be using a totally transparent system of chore/task allocation. We also use Nonviolent communication and Hoʻoponopono for conflict resolution. We ask for a general attitude of generosity through contribution and a commitment to enjoying life together (fun is part of any harmonious community).

    We're in a great location for day-trips.
