Hobby farm with horses!

    We have a 10 acre farm with horses, dogs, cats, chickens and goats. We have a large garden. We don't get to travel much so would love to being the travelers to us. We are rustic and enjoy the outdoors. We have an outdoor kitchen, bonfire pit, chemical toilet and two amazing hot water out door (but private) showers.

  • Hours per day Volunteers usually work 6 hours per day for 5 to 6 days per week. There is a difference between work time and play time. When volunteers are learning how to groom, saddle, train and ride horses, that is considered play time. We usually get up at 7 am.
  • Work requirements: You must be fit and not have chronic illnesses and injuries. You must be a team player and have a good attitude. You must be respectful of other people's cultures as you will be interacting with travelers from different parts of the world. You must be kind to animals. You must have medical/travelers insurance and sign a liability release form. You must have a valid form of ID.

  • Duration of stay: Due to the amount of training you receive on handling animals, especially the horses, we prefer that people stay for at least 2 weeks. We also allow stays of several months.

  • Accommodation: We have multiple types of accommodation. We have a small bunk trailer with two twin beds. We also have a small living quarters trailer that has a queen bed for two people traveling together and a twin bed. If you prefer to camp we have tents and sleeping bags. We also provide three meals per day. You are responsible for your own junk food/snacks. We are not big fans of alcohol, so if you are a drunk, do not come here. We have had issues with volunteers and alcohol in the past. If you create issues due to your alcohol consumption, you will be asked to leave. You cannot work with animals and be drunk, hungover or high. Keep your drinking under control while you are here. No smokers and no drugs. The ranch owner is allergic to smoke.

  • We like to spend a lot of time together. We like to eat meals together. You will also have time to yourself if you desire as there are lots of cool places to hang out at throughout the ranch. There are a lot of cool things to do in the local area like eating out, shopping, nightlife and dancing, the beach, hiking, wine tasting, beer tasting, casinos, going to the big cities etc. San Diego is 1-1.5 hours away. Los Angeles is 2+ hours away.

    To travel to us, you would fly in to Los Angeles International Airport. Take a bus to the Temecula Old Town bus station and we will pick you up and drive you to the ranch.

    We understand that not everyone has an American phone number. So we usually communicate through WhatSapp. Please download the app so that we can set up a time to talk with you.
