Help us with English training to young, single mothers in Kenya

  • Marker details
  • DescriptionWe offer free vocational training to young, single mothers. Most of our students have not had the opportunity to go past year 3 in high school. We are a small project. If you want to experience the awe-inspiring scenery of East Africa, see safari animals up close in the wild and make a real difference to a local community, volunteering in Kenya could be perfect for you! Working in Kenya is a real chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life and try something completely different. Its stunning landscapes and natural beauty are known around the world, with truly amazing sights such as the Great Rift Valley. Safari is one of the things Kenya is most famous for and rightly so – elephants, giraffes, buffalo, leopards, zebras and many more animals can be regularly seen in the wild. Kenya is also home to fascinating and often ancient traditions from the melting pot of so many tribal cultures.

With extensive recent droughts in the area, diversifying the economy of the local area is important and one method of doing so is through learning English to help with a trade. English can open up many new opportunities for these women.
